Join us as a Senior Product Designer: We'll look to you to be a passionate advocate for great customer experiences, bringing your creative and strategic thinking skills You'll be at the forefront of product design solutions that employ and improve our principles, standards and design patterns, centred around best practice, consistency and re-use In return, you’ll have a genuine impact on our customers, and will be well positioned to gain recognition for you and your work What you'll do: As a Senior Product Designer, you’ll be a hands-on leader, inventing and designing websites, apps and software applications which provide compelling and seamless customer experiences. This will be for native and browser-based experiences across desktop and mobile platforms. We’ll look to you to develop high level storyboards, wireframes, mock-ups, prototypes and development-ready interfaces to effectively communicate interaction, and design ideas for both strategic programmes and tactical enhancements. Effectively, you’ll be a ‘player coach,’ leading small teams to drive and deliver consistent, efficient and enjoyable user experiences and interfaces. Key aspects of your role will also include: Demonstrating a product mindset, going beyond surface-level design and helping shape the product and experience strategy to align user needs with long-term product and experience vision Translating customer research into actionable artefacts like user needs, empathy maps, problem statements and customer journey maps Facilitating workshops and shaping the experience vision that aligns with both user goals and business objectives Leading the end-to-end design process, working with agile project teams and managing key stakeholders to develop and own the delivery of user centred solutions within project timeframes and objectives Designing high quality, pixel-perfect interfaces and prototypes that can be clearly understood by business analysts, developers and delivery leads, using Design Systems and shared libraries delivering high quality design at scale, contributing to Design Systems through the creation of high quality, reusable components and visual artefacts such as icons and illustrations Collaborating with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders to design and enhance user journeys and features that deliver real customer value Driving and participating in user research and testing activities, to inform and refine designs based on user feedback and performance metrics Working closely with design leads, principles and developers to ensure what’s designed is delivered Inspiring and mentoring others by sharing knowledge, championing design thinking, and taking teams on a journey to elevate user experience across the organisation The skills you'll need: We’re looking for someone with an extensive portfolio, which demonstrates creative and analytical thinking and the delivery of effective digital experiences. You’ll understand the ‘big picture’ in terms of end-to-end digital experiences, as well as having an eye for detail in terms of interactive and visual design. You’ll be an excellent communicator and storyteller, using research, insight, data and best practice to present your work to a wide range of stakeholders in a clear and effective way. In addition, you’ll need experience in delivering large scale, complex change for financial services businesses, with commercial clients or those with complex needs, such as private, ultra-high net worth and family office clients. We’ll also be looking for: Extensive experience of delivering interface designs for use in high performance environments Significant experience in supporting user centred design processes and creating the material required to support user research and concept testing A data-driven design mindset, the ability to use qualitative and quantitative data to inform and drive design decisions Strong understanding of digital accessibility standards, guidelines and best practices according to WCAG 2.2 Technical expertise in product design and visualisation tools such as Figma, including an understanding of tokens, variables, modes and booleans Knowledge of responsive and adaptive design and a background in human-computer interaction, or a related field Experience of working with Agile multi-disciplinary, distributed teams to deliver world-class digital journeys at pace with a measurable impact on customer experiences and business value
