What’s involved?
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Engineer and Contracts Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of our workspace fit-out projects. This role involves managing the entire contract life cycle, coordinating engineering aspects, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in contract management and engineering within the commercial real estate or construction sectors.
Contract Management:
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards.
- Manage the full contract lifecycle, including renewals and amendments.
- Maintain organized records of all contract-related documents.
Project Oversight:
- Plan and coordinate engineering projects, ensuring alignment with company objectives and client requirements.
- Supervise project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and quality standards.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers and project managers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Conduct performance reviews and identify training needs.
- Liaise with clients, architects, and internal teams to ensure project specifications are met.
- Address and resolve any contractual or engineering issues that arise during project execution.
Qualifications and Skills
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Professional certifications in contract management or project management are advantageous.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in contract management and engineering within the commercial real estate or construction sectors.
- Proven track record of managing complex projects from inception to completion.
Skills:
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and contract management tools.
- Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of construction laws, regulations, and best practices
