As an experienced Mechanical Estimator, you’ll join a rapidly expanding M&E firm with a strong order book and play a crucial role in the continued growth of the business. Join an established team where you’ll take ownership of your work and be recognised, you’re your experience and expertise.

Over the years this established M&E contractor have expanded and won many prestigious projects across multiple sectors. With no plans to slow down they are continuing to expand their teams and are now looking for an experience mechanical estimator. Long term you’ll experience continued career development, recognition and be in control of your career.

Your role as a mechanical estimator will include:

* Review project specifications, drawings and material requirements to develop detailed mechanical system cost estimates, including labour, equipment and materials.

* Evaluate mechanical designs, technical specifications, and subcontractor proposals to identify potential risks, cost-saving opportunities, and resource needs.

* Coordinate with engineers, project managers and procurement teams to clarify design intent, resolve discrepancies and ensure estimates align with project goals and timelines.

* Update cost databases, track estimating assumptions, and provide weekly progress reports on ongoing bids and projects.

The successful Mechanical Estimator will need:

* Previous experience as an Estimator with strong knowledge of mechanical systems, construction methods and industry standards.

* Strong proficiency in estimating software (e.g. Excel, AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam or similar) and cost-tracking tools.

* Excellent analytical, negotiation and leadership skills with the ability to mentor junior estimators and lead complex bidding processes.
