The Arding Rooms is x+why's award winning private members' club and events venue, located within the beautifully restored Arding & Hobbs building in the heart of Clapham Junction. We've created a welcoming space where members and guests can work, socialise, dine and celebrate.
Alongside our members' club offering, The Arding Rooms hosts a varied programme of private events, from intimate gatherings and business meetings, to larger celebrations and community socials. The cherry on top is the stunning roof terrace - with panoramic views across London's iconic skyline.
We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and polished Floor Supervisor to join our team on a full-time, variable-hours contract (40 hours per week).The club is open everyday from 8am to late, so shifts will vary across weekdays and weekends, and will include a mix of morning, afternoon and evenings. The hourly rate is £16 + Tronc .
The bit about the role
As Floor Supervisor, you'll oversee the day-to-day operation of the floor, leading the team to deliver consistently outstanding levels of service for our members, guests and event attendees.
No two days are the same. From delivering seamless service in our all-day dining restaurant to supporting private events and exclusive functions, you'll help create the warm, welcoming atmosphere The Arding Rooms is known for.
Whether you're welcoming members for lunch, serving drinks on the roof terrace or supporting an evening event, you'll bring energy, attention to detail and genuine hospitality to every shift.

Hospitality is part of your DNA, you love the buzz, the people, the variety, and you even enjoy those shifts were everything seems to go wrong!!
We hope to find someone with the below attributes:
Experience in a supervisory or senior front-of-house role.
A positive, outgoing, upbeat approach is your default demeanour.
You take pride in your presentation and communicate with warmth and kindness.
A natural people person, you will get know our members (and their dogs) by name.
Even when things get bumpy - you keep your cool, so guests are never aware.
Can confidently adapt to working across the main restaurant, roof terrace and event space.
Enjoys flexibility and commit to a range of weekday, evening and weekend shifts.
Most importantly, you'll be someone who enjoys being part of a supportive team who take great pride in everything they deliver.
