Sample Collection Technician

About the Role
The Sample Collection Technician supports the Service Delivery Managers and Production Team Managers in overseeing the delivery of services to our customers. The role is accountable for the delivery of the contract obligations for sampling. This will be a consistent, high-quality service that our customers can rely on and trust.
This role will be part of a team in London, but reporting into the Production Team Manager in New Zealand.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership
- Optimize service delivery processes to ensure consistency and quality as needed
- Supports oversight and accountability of resources (incl. partners) and their deliverables involved in execution
- Supports delivery of Contractual Obligation execution for sampling
- Constantly strive to exceed through put, improve efficiency, and address unmet/unstated needs
- Work closely with internal teams for workflow enhancements (OOE)
- Contribute to RFI's, RFP's, and questionnaires to support the Sales team in their responses
- Help define clear tracking metrics and dashboards for client and internal communication and to identify areas of improvement
- Sales support (e.g. RFx)
- Delivery support for customers
Customer Support
- Translate customer requirements into the collection event and coordinate other activities as needed
- Resolves customer support inquiries as required
Delivery Services
- Coordinate dependencies and resources
- Identify and manage risks and impediments that affect scope, schedule, and quality
- Collaborate with Delivery Managers as needed
- Able to navigate the “noise” within the customers environment so there is laser focus towards results and delivering value
Skills & Experience
Required:
- Experience in applying Agile and/ or Lean practices.
- Strong business acumen with a commitment and drive to achieve professional and company goals
- Flexible and adaptable interpersonal style to influence others and share ideas and/or problem solve
- Resilient and able to work under pressure
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Knowledge and experience with business tools and systems – standard office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Atlassian package (Confluence, Trello)
Desirable:
- Relevant Degree or Diploma
- Experience in customer requirements gathering and management
- Experience working with professional services, deployment, and support teams
- Experience overseeing Incident Management
