What you’ll do
As the Junior Merchandiser on Home, Brands you will deliver future focused multi-channel merchandise forecasting, planning and stock management to deliver profitable returns and ensure availability in line with customer needs, working closely with wider Merchandising and Buying to input to and drive the delivery of the strategy for the assigned department.
This role sits within our Branded business which operates both Dropship and Wholesale models.
Your key accountabilities will include
- Define and develop the commercial plan for the category, including planned sales by year and season to deliver market share, sales, GSM and profit goals
- Develop and manage the demand forecast for the category
- Build the weekly Trading plan for the year/ season, including plans for major calendar events
- Manage weekly trading rhythm, joining and contributing to decision-making at weekly trade meetings
- Manage wider core Merchandising responsibilities, including: continually review and understand stock levels for the category in-season; set intake quantities and rates, and define and manage replenishment requirements based on anticipated performance
What you’ll do
Your key accountabilities will include
- Extensive Merchandising experience with a major retailer, ideally with experience in the Branded space. Working to at least Junior Merchandiser level
- Knowledge and experience of the planning & trading complexities associated with multi-channel retailing
- Strong numerical and analytical skills to interpret sales and trading data and optimise trading performance
- In depth knowledge of the processes and systems required to support the setting and monitoring of forecasts, stock plans and budgets for sales and profit
- Organised, able to drive delivery and in line with the critical path and manage an operational team by setting clear targets and ensuring they are met
- Excellent communication and influencing skills and ability to build positive collaborative relationships; Ability to coach and support personal development of other members of the wider Merchandising team to drive success.
