Person Specification Qualifications Essential
- oMBBS or equivalent medical qualification
- oMRCPCH or equivalent
- oMSc or other higher degree
- oPrevious experience of working at middle grade in paediatrics/ neonatology in the UK or at an equivalent level neonatal unit overseas
- oEligible for full registration with the GMC at time of appointment
- oProfessional behaviour and probity
- oEligibility to work in the UK
- oFor nodal point 5 salary point, applicant should have at least 7 years post-registration clinical experience or post CCT, with relevant neonatal experience (or equivalent) to allow them to work in senior leadership role.
- oPrevious experience in a neonatal tertiary centre
- oExperience in a sub-speciality relevant to neonatal medicine
- oIs up to date and fit to practice safely
- oAll applicants to have demonstrable skills in written and spoken English that are adequate to enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues which could be demonstrated by one of the following:
- a)that applicants have undertaken undergraduate medical training in English or
- b)have the following scores in the academic International English Language Testing System (ELTS) - Overall 7, Speaking 7, Listening 6, Reading 6, Writing 6
- oAbility to provide complete details of employment history and adequate career progression
