Job Summary:
About the Role & Team
The Regional EMEA Forecast & Planning team is responsible for the delivery and reporting of the
Licensing quarterly Forecast and Close, Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Long Term Plan (LTP),
as well as the consolidation of the financials for the 4 lines of business within Disney Consumer
Products (Licensing, Publishing, Games and The Disney Store).
What You Will Do
Financial Planning & Analysis
Assist Senior Finance Manager with all processes and reporting to deliver the deliverables across each of the key FP&A cycles (Forecast, Close, AOP, and LTP)
Responsible for forecasting and tracking of key Other Revenue and Cost lines within the Licensing P&L, including but not limited to Guarantee Shortfalls, Fixed/Transfer Fees, CMF (Common Marketing Fund) Revenue and Salaries & Benefits
Participation in the preparation of Forecast / Close / AOP review presentations for EMEA
Leadership & Global teams
Work closely with EMEA Controllership team at quarter close to ensure accurate quarter end accrual and closing position is reported. Provide commercial context, variance analysis and assist in SAP reconciliation
Adapt and update FP&A processes to improve forecast accuracy across all areas of the Licensing P&L
Partner with wider Merchandise Licensing teams to drive Finance transformation initiatives, drive efficiencies and share best practice
Marketing
Finance Business Partner for VP Marketing, supporting them and their team with the planning and consolidation of EMEA Licensing Marketing Budget
Work closely with Marketing team throughout Forecast and Close cycles to ensure that all spend is reported and tracked correctly and accurately across the entire region
Adapt and update processes to improve forecast accuracy
Forecasting and tracking of CMF Revenue
Team Management
Direct line management of Finance Analyst + Finance Intern, providing ongoing support and mentoring
Deputise for Senior Finance Manager in their absence
Work in close partnership with other members of the Forecast & Planning team and champion a collaborative approach across the wider DCP EMEA Finance team
Required Qualifications & Skills
Accounting Qualification essential (ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
Experience of an equivalent FP&A role preferably for a multinational or US corporation
Experience of supporting business stakeholders to a high standard
Prior experience and evidence of managing a team
Detailed knowledge and understanding of Licensing & Consumer Products
A firm grasp of Forecasting & Planning processes and systems
Demonstrable track record of providing commercial support to multiple business partners that’s insightful, timely and responsive
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, tailored to all levels of the organisation
Strong organisational skills to ensure deadlines are met in a fast paced environment
Ability to produce clear and insightful presentations / analysis to deliver key messaging at the appropriate level of detail
