Assistant Garment Technologist - Knitwear & Jersey

About the role of Assistant Garment Technologist
This is an amazing opportunity to join Hush as an Assistant Garment Technologist on the Garment Technology team, a fabulous group of people focused on ensuring the delivery of exceptional quality garments to our lovely customers.
This role would suit individuals who are starting their career or have some grounding in garment technology process and are focused on furthering their technical skills within fashion retail production; keen to learn and develop in a fast-paced but nurturing environment.
Hybrid Working
Hush is currently operating a hybrid approach to working, with a minimum expectation of 4 days per week in our office in Clapham, London.
What the Assistant Garment Technologist will do:
- Support the technical team across Knitwear & Jersey categories from development to production.
- Assist in fit sessions, preparing samples and recording accurate fit comments.
- Upload and maintain fit comments and approvals within internal systems (e.g. PLM).
- Manage testing, shipment, and AQL documentation to ensure compliance and quality.
- Partner with senior technologists and product teams to troubleshoot production issues.
- Provide administrative support and contribute to team-wide projects and training initiatives.
What you'll bring to Hush:
- A relevant BA (Hons) degree in Fashion, Garment Technology, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Experience with Knitwear & Jersey categories
- Some understanding of manufacturing, quality, and compliance processes.
- Knowledge of labelling and garment standards.
- Proficient in Excel and familiar with PLM systems (or similar).
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive, collaborative attitude.
- Passionate about product quality and keen to grow a career in garment technology.
