The appointed Year 5 Teacher will join planning sessions prior to January 2026, attend induction in January 2026, and begin classroom teaching from January 2026 as the Year 5 Teacher.
A week with the Year 5 Teacher
Mornings: the Year 5 Teacher leads retrieval-rich maths and sophisticated English lessons that build independent learners. Afternoons: the Year 5 Teacher runs project-based foundation topics that build knowledge and cultural capital. The Year 5 Teacher will run booster groups, mentor pupils and prepare transition activities — responsibilities the Year 5 Teacher will plan before January 2026 and implement from January 2026.
Professional growth for the Year 5 Teacher
The Year 5 Teacher will be part of a coaching cycle, have protected CPD time and access to subject training from January 2026. The Full-Time Year 5 Teacher post offers opportunities to lead enrichment and take on subject responsibility after the initial term following January 2026. The Year 5 Teacher will receive regular feedback and peer observation opportunities.

We seek a Year 5 Teacher with QTS, strong KS2 outcomes and a passion for curriculum design.
