Partnerships Manager (Hiring Immediately)
About the Commercial Team
Reporting into the Commercial Director, you’ll be the founding member of a brand new Partnerships function. After a year of rapid learning and iteration, we’re building out key commercial pillars to help Supercritical scale. This role is instrumental in opening up a new growth channel: strategic partnerships.
As the first hire into this department, you won’t just execute—you’ll create. From defining our Partnerships Strategy to building our referral network and co-selling motions, you’ll lay the foundation for how we engage the broader ecosystem to accelerate climate action. This is a unique opportunity to join early, shape the function, and make a lasting impact on the carbon removal market.
About the Role
As our Partnerships Manager, you’ll lead the design and execution of Supercritical’s partnerships strategy. You'll focus on identifying, cultivating, and activating high-value relationships that enhance our go-to-market (GTM) motion. Whether it's referral partnerships, ecosystem collaborations, or co-sell opportunities, you’ll be focused on building a scalable, revenue-generating partnerships engine from a blank canvas.
You’ll thrive in this role if you are deeply commercial, have a sixth sense for where the market is heading, and excel at navigating a fragmented and emerging ecosystem. Your superpower is relationship building—you know how to close deals, find aligned incentives, and make yourself indispensable in any network.
Responsibilities
Design and build the Partnerships function
You’ll be starting from zero: defining what good looks like, setting clear objectives, and building systems and processes to scale partnerships sustainably. You’ll experiment, iterate, and continuously refine.
Drive revenue through strategic partnerships
You’ll develop referral and co-selling partnerships that deliver high-quality leads and support our GTM strategy. You’ll design and run partner programs that result in measurable impact.
Navigate a complex ecosystem
You’ll build deep relationships across a disparate carbon removal and sustainability landscape—including consultants, technology platforms, carbon marketplaces, and industry bodies.
Close partnership deals
You’ll own the full partnership lifecycle: identifying opportunities, engaging prospects, negotiating terms, and managing ongoing partner success. Your ability to align commercial interests will be critical.
Work cross-functionally to execute with speed
You’ll collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Supply to ensure partner programs are integrated and effective. You’ll proactively share feedback from partners to improve our messaging and product offering.
Represent Supercritical in the market
You’ll be an ambassador for our mission—attending industry events, building your personal network, and positioning Supercritical as the most trusted player in carbon removal.
Requirements
Who you are
- You have at least 6 years of experience in partnerships, business development, or enterprise sales, ideally in B2B SaaS, marketplaces, climate tech, or similar high-growth environments
- You’ve built partnerships from scratch before or played a central role in scaling a new channel or function
- You’re commercially minded, love closing deals, and think in terms of impact and revenue
- You have a strong instinct for finding mutually beneficial incentives, and your ability to build trust and navigate complexity is second to none
- You thrive in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and are excited by the challenge of working on a blank canvas
- You’re deeply interested in climate and carbon removal, and bring intellectual curiosity to a fast-evolving sector
- Your communication skills—both written and verbal—are excellent, and you know how to influence without authority
