Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through higher level clearance, this role is predominately going to be working on a secure site. Candidate profile: In this role, you will take ownership of the end-to-end architecture for a scalable event gateway platform, ensuring solutions are secure, resilient, and aligned with business objectives and long-term strategy. You will provide architectural leadership and technical assurance across delivery teams, shaping standards, guiding best practice, and proactively identifying and mitigating risks. Working closely with clients, you will translate evolving business needs into clear, actionable designs, leading workshops and technical discussions that influence strategic direction. You will champion event-driven and integration patterns, ensuring high availability, performance, and compliance, while fostering a collaborative environment where innovation and continuous improvement thrive. Lead & Shape Architecture ? Own the end-to-end solution design for the event gateway platform Define & Govern Standards ? Establish architectural principles, patterns, and best practices Assure & Guide Delivery ? Provide technical oversight to ensure quality, security, and scalability Design & Optimise ? Architect event-driven solutions covering ingestion, routing, transformation, and delivery Mitigate & Manage Risk ? Identify technical risks and define effective mitigation strategies Engage & Influence ? Facilitate client workshops and translate business requirements into technical solutions Required qualifications to be successful in this role To succeed in this role, you will bring strong experience in solution architecture within complex, enterprise environments, particularly across event-driven and integration platforms. You will combine technical depth with consultative skills, enabling you to influence stakeholders, guide delivery teams, and ensure solutions align with strategic objectives. You should have extensive experience designing enterprise-level solution architectures Strong proficiency in event-driven architecture, messaging, and API integration patterns Proven ability to lead technical design authority and provide architectural assurance Experience addressing non-functional requirements including security, resilience, and observability Demonstrated success engaging with senior stakeholders and leading technical workshops Eligibility for, or possession of, UK Security Clearance
