DT Teacher

Design and Technology (DT) Teacher - Hillingdon, West London Full-Time | Long-Term Contract | September 2025 - July 2026

Tradewind Recruitment are working with an ambitious and inclusive secondary school in the Hillingdon area who are seeking a skilled and motivated Design and Technology (DT) Teacher to join their team from September 2025 through to the end of the academic year in July 2026 . This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher passionate about delivering hands-on, innovative lessons that prepare students for both academic and practical success.

Position Details:

• Role: Design and Technology Teacher

• Specialism: Open to all DT specialisms (Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, etc.)

• Contract: Long-term (September 2025 - July 2026)

• Location: Hillingdon, West London

• Working Hours: Full-time (8:30am-3:30pm)

• Pay: Outer London MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)

• Facilities: Well-equipped workshops and on-site parking available

Main Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging DT lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)

• Promote practical skills, innovation, and problem-solving through hands-on learning

• Ensure high standards of student achievement and progress

• Contribute to a supportive and forward-thinking department

Qualifications and Person Specification:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

• A relevant degree in a Design and Technology discipline

• Excellent subject knowledge with a passion for practical, creative learning

• Strong communication and classroom management skills

• Approachable and encouraging with a commitment to student development
