Role Overview
The Events Manager will join a fast-paced and ambitious team, taking ownership of planning and delivering a wide range of events aligned with the firm’s strategic priorities. This role involves working closely with stakeholders across the business to ensure every event reflects the firm’s values and delivers a memorable experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a comprehensive event management service for client, intermediary, and select internal events, from initial concept to post-event review.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring they are fully briefed and engaged throughout the event lifecycle.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of events and reporting on outcomes.
- Deliver a variety of events, from intimate dinners and roundtables to large-scale receptions and conferences, both in-person and online.
- Negotiate with suppliers and manage contracts to secure competitive pricing and ensure compliance with firm policies.
- Provide hands-on support before and during events, ensuring seamless delivery and a positive experience for all attendees.
- Collaborate with the business development and marketing teams, offering advice and support on best practice and process.
- Foster strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors, and coordinate with procurement and office leads as needed.
- Stay up to date with industry standards and legal requirements affecting events.
Person Specification
- Extensive event management experience gained within a corporate or professional services environment.
- Proven track record of independently delivering successful, measurable events across a range of formats.
- Strong background in managing significant budgets and negotiating with external suppliers.
- Excellent organisational, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Confident communicator with strong written, verbal, and presentation abilities.
- Commercially minded, adaptable, and able to manage change effectively.
- High level of IT literacy, including Microsoft Office, e-marketing tools, and event registration platforms.
- Meticulous attention to detail, able to juggle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Calm, positive, and results-focused, even under pressure.
- Willingness to work flexibly, including occasional early mornings or evenings as required.
