Senior Delegated Underwriting Authority Assistant
A leading specialty (re)insurer in the Lloyd’s/London Market is looking to hire a Senior Delegated Underwriting Authority Assistant to join its Delegated Authority function in London.
This role sits within a busy oversight team supporting delegated underwriting arrangements, with responsibility for maintaining strong governance, ensuring compliance with Lloyd’s delegated authority expectations, and providing high-quality support to underwriting stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Support the oversight of delegated authority relationships and associated contracts, ensuring robust governance and adherence to Lloyd’s expectations.
- Coordinate and maintain internal approval and review activity for new and existing coverholders.
- Deliver regular management information, including KPI monitoring, tracking exceptions, and supporting control assurance activity.
- Own the accuracy and maintenance of relevant delegated authority systems and records (including Lloyd’s platforms where applicable).
- Partner with underwriting and wider stakeholders to resolve queries, improve processes, and escalate emerging risks appropriately.
- Contribute to projects supporting continuous improvement across delegated authority operations.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience in Delegated Authority / DUA within the Lloyd’s or London Market
- Strong understanding of how Lloyd’s DA expectations operate in practice
- Atlas/DCOM experience beneficial (or comparable DA systems exposure)
- Strong written communication and stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable managing workload across multiple timelines
