We are looking for a Wholesale Merchandiser to join our International Team. You will work as part of the Wholesale team to develop and deliver the Wholesale strategy you will work with external Partners to plan and fulfil a range selection that meet commercial targets, customer requirements and drive M&S brand principles. Translate this into trading plans, ensuring that international and channel specific strategies are co-ordinated. Deliver in-season actions that maximise sales and profit opportunities and meet agreed targets Accountable for the delivery of the P&L for key Merchandising metrics for Wholesale. To manage the critical path from product launch through to exit to drive speed to market and meet the requirements of the partners & M&S

What you’ll do
Your key accountabilities will include
- Develop and implement the International Wholesale strategy
- Builds long term strategic relationships with the Partners, demonstrating a positive, collaborative approach which supports the delivery of both parties’ strategic ambition. Negotiate with senior external contacts (CEO, Directors) on commercial terms, and to secure commitments
- Working with the Internal Buying team to create the partner plan and strategy and executing to deliver sales, total stock, GSM, markdown, availability targets, market share and option count.
- Planning BU’s, Departments & Ranges in accordance with the M&S Planning Calendar, working with the Buying team to determine the products offered in each quarter and supporting the creation of a range framework.
- Manage commercial results of a large and complex partner or product line by analysing customer and market trends, monitoring financial results, adjusting plan as necessary, and optimizing use of resources.
Who you are
Your skills and experience will include
- Understanding and experience of the Wholesale model
- Core Merchandising Skills (developing a strategy and operating plan, production planning, stock management, sales estimating, margin management, cataloguing etc.)
- Knowledge of the end to end buy to store process and best practice supply chain management.
- Able to fully utilise the relevant IT support systems, (Range Planner, SSI, Prod Plans, SAS Reporting, JDA Merch Planning) and to be fully conversant with standard business desktop applications.
- Knowledge of worldwide supply chain operations
