About the School
A brilliant and well-established secondary school in Lewisham is seeking an experienced Attendance Officer to join its pastoral and administrative team.
The successful candidate will play an important role in monitoring pupil attendance, maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with parents and carers.
Key Responsibilities
Monitoring daily pupil attendance.
Identifying unexplained absences.
Contacting parents and carers regarding attendance.
Maintaining accurate attendance records.
Updating SIMS, Arbor or similar systems.
Producing attendance reports.
Supporting attendance meetings.
Liaising with pastoral and safeguarding teams.
Recording communication with families.
Monitoring attendance patterns.
Supporting school attendance procedures.
Maintaining confidential pupil information.
Requirements
Previous experience working in a school attendance role is essential.
Experience using SIMS, Arbor or a similar system.
Strong administrative skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Confident and professional telephone manner.
Ability to communicate sensitively with parents.
Enhanced DBS required.
