The Role
- Prepare the month-end close process for UK entity, including the preparation and analysis of consolidated financial statements (Balance Sheets, P&L statements, and Cash Flow statements) in accordance with US GAAP.
- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data, providing insightful variance analysis and commentary to senior management.
- Guarantee adherence to all relevant accounting standards (specifically US GAAP), regulatory requirements, and internal group policies.
- Monthly preparation of all review balance sheet accounts , payroll , designing and implementing best-practice controls and procedures to ensure future accuracy and mitigate risk.
- Develop, implement, and maintain best-practice financial controls and operating policies for new and existing business processes across the group.
- Stay current with changes in accounting standards and regulations, assessing their impact on the group and implementing necessary changes.
- Continuously evaluate and improve financial processes and controls to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
Candidate Requirements:
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Proven experience working with and applying US GAAP is essential.
- More than 5 years experience asa Group Accountant role or a similar position with responsibility for group consolidation and multi-entity reporting.
- Significant experience in preparing and managing month-end close processes and producing consolidated financial statements for a listed or multinational company
- Strong experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining financial controls and processes.
- High proficiency in Excel, experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, NetSuite) would be a plus
