A long-term maternity nurse role supporting a private mother in London and France, providing experienced, baby-led care from birth within a calm, discreet household environment.

Job Summery
This is a structured maternity nurse position suited to a highly experienced professional seeking a long-term working relationship with a private family that values discretion, maturity, and collaborative care. The role requires confidence, reliability, and a calm presence, particularly overnight. The role involves supporting a mother from the birth of her baby, with an initial period based in London followed by extended time in France. The position combines day and night work in London before transitioning to a 24/6 working pattern overseas.
Care will be baby-led and breastfeeding-focused, with the maternity nurse working closely alongside the mother rather than in sole charge throughout. This role is intended as a longer-term arrangement for the right candidate, should the working relationship develop well.
Travel experience is essential, as is the ability to integrate seamlessly into a private household while maintaining professional boundaries.

Job Specification
• Providing experienced maternity care from birth, including overnight support
• Supporting and protecting breastfeeding routines in line with the mother’s wishes
• Responding promptly and reliably to the baby during night hours
• Establishing gentle, baby-led routines appropriate to the baby’s development
• Working collaboratively alongside the mother to support her recovery and confidence
• Maintaining a calm, discreet, and reassuring presence within the home

Candidate Specification
• Very experienced maternity nurse with extensive new-born and overnight care experience
• Calm, quiet, discreet, and emotionally attuned in approach
• Confident supporting breastfeeding mothers
• Proven reliability with night waking and overnight infant care
• Comfortable working collaboratively rather than independently
• Experienced in travelling with private families
• Professional, measured personality, not loud or intrusive
• Excellent references demonstrating long-term client satisfaction
