The Hybrid & Open Access Journals Editorial team is a vibrant and dynamic group of highly motivated individuals passionate about research and publishing. We develop and expand a diverse range of high-quality journals across social sciences, STEM, and various business models to meet changing market needs. Could you be our new Editorial Assistant? Are you?
Interested in the journal publication process, able to explain key stages of journal publishing concepts.
A strong communicator who delivers clear, timely written and verbal responses to internal and external collaborators.
Comfortable managing a busy, shifting workload, staying organised even when priorities change.
Someone with excellent attention to detail, producing accurate reports, records, and data with consistently high accuracy.
Experienced in working with multiple collaborators, keeping information flowing and ensuring follow-up actions are completed.
Confident researching and coordinating information, from tracking leads to compiling background insights that support proposals and decisions.
Your new role:
As an Editorial Assistant, you’ll offer high-quality administrative and editorial support to external editors and publishing partners as well as internal teams.
Support the management of our publishing portfolio by preparing clear, timely reports that empower colleagues and partners to make informed decisions.
Maintain the accuracy and integrity of our journal records and databases, ensuring our teams always have reliable and up-to-date information.
Contribute to the growth of our journals by supporting day-to-day management activities that help us deliver on our strategic ambitions.
Build a solutions-focused experience for editors, society partners, and authors by responding to queries promptly and collaborating closely with colleagues across the business.
Support our contracting process, helping us maintain strong, transparent partnerships.
Support our editorial growth by investigating new opportunities, maintaining organised acquisition pipelines, and preparing insights that strengthen journal proposals and tender submissions.
Support the flow of our editorial work by coordinating meetings, preparing agendas and presentations, capturing clear minutes, presenting key updates, and keeping follow‑up actions progressing
Represent Sage with integrity at conferences and events, building relationships, gathering meaningful insights, and positively showcasing our journal portfolio and brand.
Take ownership of cross-departmental projects and editorial administration, ensuring tasks are delivered to agreed timelines and contribute positively to our shared goals.
