What We're Looking For:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual who can bring English Language and Literature to life for our students. The ideal candidate will be:
- A qualified teacher (holding QTS or equivalent).
- Experienced in teaching English Language and Literature at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Experience teaching Key Stage 5 (A-Level) is advantageous but not essential. We welcome applications from ECTs.
- Passionate about English and able to convey that passion to students of all abilities.
- An excellent classroom practitioner with strong behaviour management skills.
- Committed to raising student achievement and fostering a love of reading and writing.
- A collaborative team player who is willing to contribute to the wider school community.
- Dedicated to their own professional development and eager to learn and grow.
- A great English Teacher
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging English lessons across the relevant Key Stages.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback, both written and oral.
- Maintain accurate records of student attainment and progress.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and respect.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the English department and across the school.
- Participate actively in departmental meetings, planning, and development activities.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all pupils.
