The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Non-Equity Tax Partner in our London Global Mobility advisory team, specializing in Expat Tax. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality services to our clients while driving business growth. The ideal candidate will possess a forward-thinking entrepreneurial mindset, reflecting the dynamic nature of our client base. Key Responsibilities:

- Lead a portfolio of clients, focusing on private and fast-growth UK-headquartered Japanese organizations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring consistently high levels of service.
- Oversee the successful delivery of mobility tax projects, ensuring technical excellence and compliance.
- Manage day-to-day client service delivery with a strong emphasis on advisory.
- Collaborate across service lines and with international colleagues to identify and capitalize on mobility opportunities.
- Proactively seek new tax projects from existing clients and drive new business from target organizations. Build the profile of EY in the Japanese market for mobility services and also for other tax and professional services in the Japan-parented corporate market.
- Act as a trusted member of the management team, mentoring junior staff and making key decisions impacting the team. Also collaborate with other sub-service lines and service lines in order to help EY succeed in the Japanese market.
About You:
- Experienced expatriate tax practitioner with a proven track record.
- Enthusiastic and adaptable, embracing innovative ways of working.
- Strong team player with the ability to integrate quickly into new teams.
- Excellent relationship-building skills, capable of delivering high-quality outputs.
- Strong technical acumen with a desire for continuous professional development.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to plan, prioritize, and monitor budgets effectively.
- Ability to convey complex advice in clear, accessible language that is technically accurate and provides practical insights.
- Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., ATT/ACA/CA/ACCA/CTA/Law qualification or equivalent).
- Skilled in identifying areas of risk, conducting effective reviews, and knowing when to escalate issues.
- Client-focused and commercially aware, with strong relationship management capabilities.
- Creative and pragmatic problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communicator, both written and verbal. Japanese native speaker.
- Minimum of 10 years’ management experience within global mobility.
- Experience in a professional services environment.
