Fire Alarm Engineer

Fire and Security Engineer Location: Mobile – Covering London and Home Counties Salary: £38,000 to £40,000 per annum plus company van and paid expenses Join a Growing Company and Be Part of a Real Team We are a successful, medium-sized business looking for an experienced Fire and Security Engineer to join our expanding team. In this mobile role, you’ll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a range of fire detection and security systems across commercial, industrial, and residential sites. You’ll be provided with a fully equipped company van, and all expenses will be covered. Key Responsibilities * Service, maintain, and repair fire alarm systems (both conventional and addressable) * Service and maintain security systems including intruder alarms and CCTV * Diagnose faults across both fire and security systems and carry out effective repairs * Ensure all work is carried out in line with health and safety standards and industry regulations * Accurately complete all job-related documentation and service reports * Participate in an on-call rota for emergency call-outs * Provide excellent customer service and maintain professional communication with clients * Care for and manage company tools, equipment, and vehicle responsibly Person Requirements Essential * Experience in a similar role within the fire and security sector * Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems, intruder alarms, and CCTV systems * Understanding of British Standards, including BS 5839 and BS 5266 * Full UK driving licence * Ability to travel between sites and work independently * Good fault-finding and problem-solving abilities * Excellent communication and customer service skills * Legal right to work in the UK * Willingness to undergo a background check Desirable * Relevant qualifications such as FIA training, City and Guilds, ECS or CSCS card * Experience with systems from Eaton, Texecom, Hikvision, Paxton, Kentec, and similar manufacturers * Experience working to NSI or BAFE standards What We Offer * Salary up to £40,000 per year * Company van, fuel card, tools, uniform, and paid expenses * Pension scheme * 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays * Ongoing training and opportunities for career progression * A supportive team environment within a growing medium-sized company If you’re an experienced Fire and Security Engineer looking for your next opportunity within a friendly and professional team, we’d love to hear from you.
