Role
We are currently looking for an Executive Sous Chef t o join our leadership team at Rosewood London. Reporting directly to the Executive Chef, provide support and is responsible for upholding the highest standards of culinary excellence and operational efficiency throughout our dining experiences and banquet operations.
Key expectations of this role
- Assist in the overall management of the kitchen, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
- Develop innovative menus in collaboration with the Executive Chef that highlight seasonal ingredients and align with the hotel's culinary vision.
- Maintain the highest culinary standards and consistency across all food outlets and events.
- Supervise, train, and mentor the culinary brigade, fostering a culture of teamwork, creativity, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards.
- Monitor inventory, food costs, and wastage while ensuring profitability without compromising quality.
- Proactively attract and select talent for the Kitchens in line with company procedures and culture.
Profile
- Proven experience in a senior culinary leadership role within a luxury hotel or upscale dining environment.
- The ability to demonstrate leading and developing people effectively.
- The ability to build strong relationships with all associates in the Kitchen and the hotel.
- A thorough understanding of managing various stakeholders and their expectations.
