Development Manager

London based with a balance of home and office working

£63,637 - £66,987 per year plus Company car or car allowance

35 hours per week – Monday to Friday – 9:00am to 5:00pm

We are looking for an experienced Development Manager to join our team, focusing on the delivery of our Fire Remediation programme across London and the South East Region. This critical work supports our commitment to safety and compliance across our housing portfolio.

As Development Manager, you will be responsible for managing key projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You will play a vital role in both remediation and new build delivery, helping us meet our strategic objectives and provide safe, high-quality homes for our customers.

The role of Development Manager will include:

  • Supporting the efficient procurement, delivery, and management of building remediation projects under the guidance of the Senior Development Manager
  • Assisting in the delivery of high-quality and cost-effective remediation works within agreed capital expenditure budgets, ensuring timely completion through effective financial monitoring and reporting
  • Building and maintaining collaborative working relationships with internal teams, external stakeholders, and strategic partners to support successful project outcomes
  • Ensuring that development activities comply with relevant legislation, best practice standards, and financial performance criteria

Skills and experiences:

  • Up to date working knowledge of development project management with previous experience in a similar role
  • Proven experience of people management and support of their personal development
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to build rapport and develop productive and effective relationships with key partners and stakeholders
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent substantive experience
  • Experience and knowledge of project management and cost control
  • Proficient user of MS Office suite applications essential
  • Excellent team working skills
  • This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
