As a Payroll and Reward Officer you can make your own powerful contribution to Westminster’s success. Delivering highly professional Payroll, Pension and Reward processes, and ensuring compliance with our policies, system requirements and legislative obligations, it’ll be your task to make sure our employees are paid accurately and on time, and the relevant deductions are made. Managing a wide range of administrative and coordination tasks across the People and Culture function, including data handling, supplier processing and communications, your dedication and commitment to our dynamic organisation will ensure that operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will be many and varied, and include processing ad hoc payments, setting up new suppliers, raising purchase orders, processing and monitoring invoices, and responding to email queries. Other key tasks will involve administering annual and bi-annual reward cycles such as yearly salary increases, working on requests to buy additional annual leave and private health insurance renewals, and contributing to the delivery of projects across our Payroll, Pension, Wellbeing and Reward functions. But your work won’t stop here – we may ask you to compile and prepare documentation for Freedom of Information and Subject Access Requests in line with data protection guidelines, and you’ll also be expected to maintain and create new pages for the teams’ relevant SharePoint sites and subsites. Scheduling and managing the logistics for internal meetings, including preparing agendas, taking accurate notes, and ensuring timely follow-up actions, you’ll also help to manage function events by creating Eventbrite invites and organising practical logistics. To be a success in this vital role you should be capable of processing written and numerical data with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, and possess extensive experience of using Microsoft’s suite of applications, including Word, Excel and SharePoint. A positive and helpful team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude to your work, you’ll be ready to engage with colleagues, partners and service users in a confident and professional manner, and be skilled at adapting your communication style to suit different audiences.
