Design & Refurbishment Consultant
To raise the profile of our Refurbishments team across Dexters and to ensure that we are constantly looking to improve the quality of the properties we manage and providing best advice to our clients.
Hours: Monday-Friday 8.30am-5.30pm
Location: South East London
Key Responsibilities:
Work with Property Managers, Lettings and Sales Managers to identify refurbishment opportunities that will enhance the value of our clients’ properties for either sale or let.
Carry out site visits to any potential refurbishment projects.
To star-rate each property managers property list, identifying 3 stars and below properties.
Work with individual property managers to start the process and introduction of D&R team.
Meet with clients to confirm their requirements and produce detailed specifications, project plans and quotations for works offering a range of options at different price points.
Confirm pricing, to include our own fee structure, and get client approval before the commencement of works.
Ensure that funds are available prior to the commencement of works.
Project manage refurbishment works with between £7000 - £25,000 (approx).
Ensure that our clients, property managers and offices are kept regularly updated on progress and that works are completed on time and within budget. Using Vebra and TED to record all communication.
Sign off all completed works and ensure that all snagging is completed and the work is of the required quality before finalising payment to the contractors.
Update CFP to reflect the works carried out and link all of the warranties relating to the works for future reference by property management.
Attend property management morning meetings and work with PMs on their 5 year plans for their properties.
To be the refurbishments “expert” in their property management office, advising property managers on any smaller works being handled by PMs.
To run monthly meetings with Heads of PM and Office Managers to update them on progress and their pipeline of works.
To keep track of all leads, quotations, work in progress and completed works and report to the Head of PM and Director of Refurbishments weekly.
To monitor progress of the project by taking photos at the beginning and end of the works for the landlord.
Requesting customer Google reviews at the end of each project.

Logical thinker with good problem-solving skills and an eye for detail.
