Midday Assistant
£12.83 per hour
11:30am - 1:00pm We are working on behalf of a welcoming and friendly primary school in Barking that is looking to recruit a Midday Assistant to support pupils during lunchtime. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to make a positive difference in a school environment. The Role As a Midday Assistant, you will play a key part in ensuring a safe, happy, and engaging lunchtime experience for pupils. Your responsibilities will include: Supervising children in the dining hall and playground
Promoting good behaviour and positive social interactions
Supporting children with any issues or concerns that arise
Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all pupils at all times✅ About You We are looking for someone who is: Passionate about working with children
Calm, patient, and approachable
A strong team player with good communication skills
Proactive and confident in handling situations independently⭐ Skills & Experience Essential: Previous experience working with children
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or issued within the last 6 months
Ability to provide relevant documentationDesirable: Experience working in a school setting
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude Additional Information Term-time only role - ideal for work-life balance
