About the role:

We’re at an exciting stage of growth, and our Content team is expanding. Reporting to the VP Content Operations & Strategy, this newly-created role will form part of our existing Rights Management team. This will be your primary area of focus, with an opportunity to work on other operational workflows and projects.

Where you'll have impact:

  • You will be a key contact for internal requests or queries regarding rights in and rights out, e.g. rights tracking, creating detailed avails reports, notification of expiry dates, resolving rights conflicts, legal deliverables, marketing restrictions, talent approvals, and key financial terms
  • You will track all contract terms and post-signature options or commitments
  • You will also be responsible for developing and managing any other rights management workflows as required, and contributing to the development of our rights management system
  • You will also work on ad hoc operational projects across the Content function - something which we’ll establish as we get to know you
  • This is a highly detailed, cross-functional role, that will work closely with other team functions including Acquisitions, Production, Sales, Programming and Legal

What you'll bring:

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years’ prior experience in a rights management role within the film/TV industry
  • Advanced ability working with rights management systems, databases, and administration tools such as Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
  • Strong understanding of legal agreements and contractual vocabulary
  • Project management experience
  • Efficiency and excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently while also being an effective and collaborative team player

Desired skills:

  • Business affairs or paralegal experience is a plus
  • Business planning
  • Experience of project management tools - bonus for experience with Asana

We want to make cinema accessible to everyone. We believe people from different backgrounds bring different ideas that foster innovation and engagement, allowing us to attract great people to develop the best experience for our users.

MUBI is committed to being an Equal Opportunity Employer. That means it's our responsibility to ensure that all candidates are not discriminated against in our hiring processes and our employment decisions based on their race, color, religion, nationality or ethnic origin, age, gender identity or expression, sex, marital status, physical or mental disability, socioeconomic background, sexual orientation, family or parental status, or any other applicable characteristic.
