Senior Consultant
Job Description
We are looking for an accomplished Senior Consultant with strong project delivery experience and growing subject-matter expertise to lead engagements for top-tier private equity clients.
Private equity operations experience is essential along with CRM implementation
This role is ideal for a capable consultant ready to step into more senior responsibility—driving multiple projects, engaging senior stakeholders, and contributing to internal initiatives that shape the wider consulting team.
The Role
As a Senior Consultant, you will take ownership of delivering projects, programmes, or portfolios—ensuring high-quality outputs, smooth execution, and excellent client satisfaction. You will run key client meetings, manage day-to-day project activities, and oversee the work of consultants and analysts assigned to your engagements.
You will also collaborate closely with vendors, monitor plans versus progress, and escalate issues appropriately to keep delivery on track. Your role will blend business analysis, strategic consulting, planning, and team leadership—making this an ideal platform for progression into full Project Director responsibilities.
Alongside client delivery, you will support the development of others, contribute to internal forums and initiatives, and help identify opportunities for further engagements (account development).
What You’ll Do
- Lead multiple consulting engagements simultaneously for private equity clients.
- Deliver projects within scope, budget, timeline, and quality expectations.
- Run senior client meetings, including SteerCos and weekly status sessions.
- Manage project teams, delegate effectively, and provide guidance and feedback.
- Oversee project budgets and resource allocation, ensuring commercial success.
- Work closely with vendor teams to track progress and prioritize workloads.
- Build SME knowledge in areas such as operating models, investment operations, data, or other PE-relevant specialisms.
- Take an active role in internal initiatives, forums, training, and knowledge sharing.
- Begin contributing to business development, identifying follow-on opportunities.
- Set the standard on internal responsibilities—timesheets, expenses, allocation management, and utilisation awareness.
What We’re Looking For
- Private equity consulting experience is required.
- Strong track record delivering consulting or transformation projects.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to run client meetings confidently and lead discussions with senior stakeholders.
- Strong organisational, planning, and project management capability.
- Experience delegating and guiding junior team members.
- Commercial awareness, including budget management and account growth.
- Desire to grow into a Project Director–level role.
Why Join Us?
This is a great opportunity for a rising consultant who wants to deepen their private equity expertise while taking on broader leadership responsibility. You’ll gain exposure to senior stakeholders, develop your subject-matter knowledge, and play a key role in shaping both client delivery and internal growth.
You’ll be part of a supportive environment that values development, collaboration, and continuous progression.
Learning & Development Opportunities
- Effective communication skills
- Networking and stakeholder engagement
- Technical SME pathways (e.g., ESG, CFA, CAIA, data analytics)
- Project management training (Agile / WAgile / PRINCE2)
- Targeted courses aligned to your personal development plan
