Teacher of Science Needed at Outstanding Southwark School!
Are you a passionate science educator with a talent for igniting curiosity in young minds?
A well-established Catholic girls' school in Southwark, South London, seeks a dedicated and enthusiastic Science teacher to join its dynamic team. This is a full-time, one-year fixed-term position offering the chance to inspire the next generation of scientists.
About the Role:
- Design and deliver engaging and informative Science lessons across all year groups, adhering to the National Curriculum.
- Cultivate a stimulating and safe learning environment that fosters a love for scientific exploration, critical thinking, and practical skills.
- Guide students in developing a strong understanding of key scientific concepts through engaging and interactive lessons.
- Prepare students for success in external examinations (GCSE, A-Level, as applicable).
- Stay abreast of advancements in the scientific field and integrate them seamlessly into the curriculum.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Science department and contribute to school-wide events.
We Seek a Candidate Who:
- Possesses a valid QTS in Science or a relevant Science discipline (Physics, Chemistry, Biology etc.).
- Demonstrates a fervent passion for science and a captivating teaching style.
- Excels in communication, interpersonal skills, and classroom management.
- Fosters a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Holds a steadfast commitment to safeguarding and promoting student well-being. (Experience in a Catholic school setting a plus).
