Alternative Investment Funds Senior Tax Manager
My client is a top-tier firm that's expanding its Alternative Investments team, offering exciting roles at the Senior Manager level.
Alternative Investments function operates within its broader Financial Services Tax offering. This team is made up of specialists who support alternative investment fund managers across their business lifecycle-covering the management entity, key individuals, fund structures, investors, and underlying investments.
Although the team is based in the UK, the international nature of the AIF industry means much of the work spans jurisdictions. This includes collaboration with global networks and opportunities for travel, particularly to the US.
My client is seeking a Senior Manager with strong tax advisory and compliance experience, particularly in relation to hedge funds and inbound fund managers-from emerging start-ups to large, multi-strategy firms. This role offers the chance to work closely with experienced leadership, develop technical expertise, and contribute to a fast paced and growing team.
- Lead advisory projects, providing technical analysis and strategic tax insights tailored to the AIF sector.
- Manage and mentor team members, ensuring high-quality service delivery to a global client base.
- Understand clients' business models and transactions to identify timely opportunities and solutions.
- Oversee compliance processes, including client meetings, timeline management, and technical reviews of prepared work.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proven ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders and founders.
- Commercially and operationally agile, with a proactive mindset suited to a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and enthusiasm for working with innovative, growth-oriented clients.
- Holds a recognised accounting or tax qualification (or international equivalent).
- US tax experience is beneficial but not essential.
What the Client Offers
My client provides a comprehensive benefits package designed to support career growth and personal wellbeing. This includes flexible working arrangements, private medical cover, access to virtual GP services, and dedicated volunteering days.
