Processing Manager Parking Services
Salary: GBP65,000 per annum
Location: London
Hours: M–F 8.30–5.00
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced and highly capable Processing Manager to lead a busy parking ticket processing centre.
This is not a call centre role . The position focuses on managing the accurate and compliant processing of parking charge notices generated across supermarket car parks, shopping centres and smaller privately managed parking locations.
The successful candidate will be an excellent people manager with strong analytical skills, close attention to detail and the ability to interpret client–specific criteria. You will ensure the team makes fair, consistent and commercially appropriate decisions about which parking charges should be progressed or cancelled.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day–to–day operation of the parking ticket processing centre.
- Manage, motivate and develop a team of processing staff.
- Ensure parking charge notices are reviewed and processed accurately and efficiently.
- Oversee decisions regarding whether tickets should be progressed or cancelled.
- Ensure all decisions are made in line with individual client instructions and agreed cancellation criteria.
- Analyse processing data to identify trends, errors, risks and areas for improvement.
- Monitor productivity, quality, accuracy and turnaround times across the department.
- Produce clear management information and performance reports.
- Ensure processes comply with relevant legislation, industry codes of practice and company procedures.
- Maintain effective audit trails and accurate processing records.
- Review complex, unusual or escalated cases and provide clear guidance to the team.
- Work closely with clients to understand their individual parking policies and operational requirements.
- Translate client criteria into clear procedures for processing staff.
- Introduce effective quality–control checks to improve consistency and reduce errors.
- Recruit, train and onboard new team members.
- Provide ongoing coaching, feedback and performance management.
- Identify training needs and develop appropriate training materials.
- Review existing processes and implement improvements to increase efficiency.
- Support the introduction of new clients, systems and parking locations.
- Work collaboratively with compliance, operations, technology and client management teams.
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will have:
- Strong management experience within a high–volume processing, administration, compliance or operational environment.
- A proven ability to manage and develop teams effectively.
- Excellent analytical and data interpretation skills.
- Experience using data to monitor performance and support operational decisions.
- Strong knowledge of compliance, quality assurance and audit processes.
- The ability to interpret detailed client requirements and apply them consistently.
- Excellent judgement and confidence when making difficult or commercially sensitive decisions.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Experience managing performance against service levels, deadlines and quality targets.
- The ability to investigate errors and implement practical corrective actions.
- Strong organisational and problem–solving skills.
- Confidence working with senior managers, clients and internal stakeholders.
- Good Excel, reporting and general systems skills.
Experience within parking services, ticket processing, appeals, enforcement, regulated administration or another high–volume decision–making environment would be advantageous, but is not essential.
