Mobile Automotive Technician
Join the Team as a Mobile Mechanic!
Together, we’re going places.
About the Role
As a Mobile Mechanic in the Service, Maintenance, and Repair division, you’ll bring your expert vehicle maintenance and diagnostic skills directly to our customers, wherever they are. From driveways to office car parks, you’ll deliver first-class service without the constraints of a traditional garage.
We’ll equip you for success from day one with your own company van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and diagnostic kit all provided.
Think independence, career progression, and a real work-life balance with a 40-hour week that keeps you moving and out of the same four walls.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert vehicle maintenance and diagnostics on-site.
- Engage with customers, offering advice and representing the organization with pride.
- Manage stock, reporting, and customer interactions effectively.
- Adapt to various challenges and make informed decisions for each customer.
What We Offer
- Competitive Salary: Base salary of £45,378 (inclusive of London Weighting Allowance, if applicable), with on-target earnings of up to £57,000.
- Guaranteed Overtime: Option to work extra days at £30 per hour after your first month.
- Flexible Hours: 40 hours per week, with core hours from 8:30 am to 5 pm, and 1 in 4 Saturdays.
- Time Off: 23 days of holiday (rising to 25 with service), plus bank holidays.
- Financial Security: Pension scheme with up to 6.5% matched contributions and life assurance cover.
- Wellbeing Support: 24/7 confidential support service for you and your household.
- Exclusive Discounts: Access to our discount portal and a stake in our collective success through the Colleague Share Scheme.
What We’re Looking For
- People Skills: You understand that this role is about more than just mechanics; it’s about connecting with customers.
- Adaptability: You enjoy variety in your work, from servicing to diagnostics and repairs.
- Problem-Solving: You can think on your feet and make the right call for each customer.
Requirements
- Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent).
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience as a vehicle technician with a range of light vehicles.
- A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
