What you’ll do ICM platform configuration and solution delivery
  • Translate incentive-plan requirements, terms and conditions, and business rules into effective ICM platform configurations.
  • Own or contribute to functional design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-release validation for new plans, plan changes, and enhancements.
  • Document calculation logic, data flows, configuration decisions, dependencies, and operational procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to use ICM platform capabilities, best practices, and approved AI tools to improve reliability, scalability, and user experience.
  • Use AI-assisted approaches to accelerate requirements analysis, configuration drafting, reuse of proven patterns, identification of edge cases, and preparation of configuration documentation; validate all AI-generated outputs against approved requirements and controls.
Data integrations and data quality
  • Own or support data integrations into the ICM platform from HR, attainment, and other operational data sources.
  • Monitor data loads and investigate failures, missing records, mapping issues, and data-quality exceptions.
  • Partner with Analytics, Data/Engineering, and HR Operations to validate source data and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Use SQL to inspect, validate, and troubleshoot data across multiple sources.
Testing, release management, and controls
  • Create and maintain test plans, test cases, test scripts, regression coverage, and release evidence.
  • Use AI-supported QA to compare requirements with configurations, expand test coverage, identify inconsistencies, summarize test results, and highlight likely regression risks, with human review before release decisions.
  • Validate plan calculations and downstream outputs when configurations change or defects are fixed.
  • Apply disciplined change-management practices, including documentation, approvals, testing, and traceability through the team’s ticketing and backlog processes.
  • Support SOX and audit requirements related to plan configuration, data connections, user access, and change management.
Operational support and troubleshooting
  • Support Incentive Operations during payout and accrual cycles, including investigation of calculation errors, data discrepancies, and system issues.
  • Triage production problems, assess impact, coordinate resolution, and communicate status clearly to stakeholders.
  • Work with the ICM platform vendor support team to diagnose critical errors, test fixes, and coordinate safe production rollouts.
  • Use AI-assisted triage and analysis to summarize errors, identify patterns across incidents, develop root-cause hypotheses, and accelerate runbook updates.
  • Help turn recurring incidents into permanent fixes, improved controls, or clearer operating procedures.
Access, backlog, and stakeholder management
  • Review and manage user access rights and support license provisioning in the ICM platform.
  • Maintain a prioritized backlog of features, configuration changes, defects, technical debt, and control improvements.
  • Estimate effort, identify dependencies, and communicate timelines and risks for delivery work.
  • Build trusted relationships with technical and non-technical partners, explaining system behavior and trade-offs in a clear, practical way.
What we’re looking for Required experience and skills
  • Four or more years of hands-on programming, configuration, or technical administration in an Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) platform such as Captivate IQ, SAP Callidus Commissions, Varicent or comparable platforms.
  • Practical experience configuring calculation logic, testing plan changes, troubleshooting defects, and supporting production releases.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience integrating, validating, or reconciling data from multiple sources.
  • Demonstrated ability to create structured test plans, test cases, test scripts, and regression coverage.
  • Ability to translate business requirements and incentive-plan rules into robust technical solutions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and investigative skills, with close attention to detail.
  • Clear written and verbal communication, including the ability to work effectively across Operations, Analytics, HR, Finance, IT, and vendor teams.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a controlled, deadline-driven environment.
Helpful additional experience
  • Understanding of sales incentive plans, pay cycles, accruals, attainment data, and terms and conditions.
  • Experience with Workday or other HR-system data flows.
  • Experience with data tools such as Querybook, Tableau, or equivalent platforms.
  • Experience and ability to use AI in ICM plan configuration and rollout, including configuration support, test design, regression analysis, defect triage, maintenance, and technical documentation.
  • Experience using JIRA for ticketing, backlog, release, and change management.
  • Experience applying SOX, audit, access-control, or other governance requirements to a compensation or financial-technology system.
  • Curiosity, technical adaptability, and enthusiasm for learning new technologies.
What success looks like

During your first 6–12 months, you will be making the platform and the operating model more dependable and easier to scale. Success will include:

  • ICM platform configurations and plan changes are delivered with clear requirements, thorough testing, and reliable release evidence.
  • ICM platform data integrations and loads are monitored proactively, with issues diagnosed and resolved before they affect payout or accrual cycles.
  • Stakeholders have clear documentation of calculation logic, data flows, controls, and operational procedures.
  • Production issues are triaged quickly, communicated clearly, and converted into lasting fixes or process improvements.
  • Access, change-management, and audit controls are consistently applied.
  • Backlog reflects business priorities, realistic estimates, visible dependencies, and clear ownership.
  • AI is used thoughtfully to reduce repetitive work and improve speed and quality without weakening data privacy, access controls, auditability, or human accountability.
