Non-Contentious Construction Lawyer

Are you looking for your next career move in Construction law? Our client, a leading law firm, is looking for a talented Non-Contentious Construction Solicitor (2-4 years' PQE) to join its successful team in London.

Lawyers advise an impressive client base, including developers, contractors, consultants, funds, ultra-high-net-worth individuals and major institutions.

Working across a diverse range of sectors, including film and studios, sports, hotels and leisure, industrials and logistics, living and retail, you will have the opportunity to work on high-quality matters and to build strong client relationships.

Your work will include:

• Drafting and negotiating building contracts, including JCT contracts, consultant appointments and collateral warranties.
• Advising on construction-related security documents, including bonds, guarantees and escrow agreements.
• Supporting development agreements, funding arrangements, agreements for lease and property transactions alongside the Commercial Real Estate team.
• Collaborating with colleagues across the firm to deliver commercially focused, joined-up advice to clients.

You will ideally have:

• Experience gained within a UK private practice firm, with a focus on real estate-related construction work.
• Confidence drafting and negotiating consultant appointments, collateral warranties and the main forms of JCT contract.
• Strong communication, organisational and prioritisation skills.
• A proactive, commercially minded approach and a genuine commitment to excellent client service.
• The ability to manage demanding deadlines, work collaboratively and maintain exceptional attention to detail.

Experience with letters of intent, pre-construction agreements and real estate transactions, including purchases. disposals and lettings would be advantageous.
