Admissions Officer

The Admissions Team plays a crucial role in welcoming and supporting students through their journey from initial enquiry to enrolment.
Central London
Hybrid - 2 days in the office a week
Full-Time 35 hours | Temporary contract | Initially a 3 month contract with scope to extend
About the Opportunity: This is a varied and rewarding role for an organised and customer-focused professional to contribute to the smooth delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate admissions. Reporting to the Admissions Manager, you will be part of a supportive team working collaboratively with academic departments, applicants, and external stakeholders.
You will manage a portfolio of programmes, assess applications, and act as the first point of contact for admissions enquiries. Your work will directly support the university’s commitment to providing an excellent applicant experience and upholding high standards of admissions integrity.
Key Responsibilities: • Assess applications in line with institutional policies, entry requirements, and sector regulations.• Communicate decisions to applicants professionally and in a timely manner.• Provide clear, accurate advice and guidance to prospective students, applicants, and their representatives.• Support the processing of CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies) and other compliance-related tasks for international applicants.• Maintain accurate records in the admissions system and ensure data integrity.• Liaise effectively with academic departments regarding application decisions, interviews, and entry criteria.• Assist in the organisation of applicant open days, interviews, and events.• Contribute to the continuous improvement of admissions processes and procedures.
About You: • Experience working in higher education admissions, student records, or a related administrative role.• Confident in interpreting complex information such as qualifications, policies, and regulations.• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.• Strong IT skills, including experience using student records systems and Microsoft Office.• A clear communicator, able to provide a high standard of customer service.• Proactive, collaborative, and committed to continuous improvement.
