Members Club Waiter/ess

Duties and Responsibilities
As Waiter/ess, I will support Food & Beverage Management and assume responsibility for the efficient operation in the following:
- Take guest orders from any food & beverage outlet.
- Provide exceptional service at all times following standards and steps of service.
- Greet guests on arrival and conduct welcome and check-in procedures in an efficient and friendly manner.
- Answer outlet telephone courteously and efficiently.
- Inspect condition and cleanliness of menus and wine list, ensure designated amounts are available, and update menus or wine lists as changes occur.
- Work with an empathetic attitude and if there is any problem which cannot be handled, must contact Management.
- Check areas prior to opening to guests and ensure all areas are clean, properly equipped and in a high standard of maintenance.
- Maintain the guest recognition program, taking special care with food likes and dislikes and allergies or special dietary requests.
- Communicate guest feedback, inquiries, and comments. Follow up with management
- Supervise the Restaurant Junior Commis team, in particular with Opening and Closing.
- Have a good knowledge of all outlet menus (food and wine) and F&B day to day activities.
- Have good knowledge of all F&B outlets opening hours.
- Maintain a high standard of personal appearance, grooming and hygiene.
- Knowledge and strict adherence to LQA standards.

Qualifications
To execute the position of Waiter/ess, I must have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results and includes the following:
- High school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years’ experience in a similar operational setting. Hospitality diploma/degree from a recognized hospitality school is preferred.
- Technical skills include Advanced MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. I am also familiar with various hotel systems including MICROS/point of sell platforms. I have knowledge of hotel policies on discounts/food promotion.
- I am familiar with Food and Beverage terminology, application, operation, wine service, costs, menu development food and hygiene codes and controlling inventory.
- Fluent in English; I understand that additional languages are preferred.
