GCSE English Tutor with SEMH Experience (Hiring Immediately)

Make a real impact as a GCSE English Tutor

Are you a passionate educator, making a difference in the lives of students with  SEMH needs ? We are looking for an experienced and dedicated tutor. You’ll provide personalised 1:1 support in English for GCSE students. These in-person sessions in Sidcup offer the chance to work closely with students, helping them build skills and confidence in a supportive and tailored learning environment.

• This job is in-person in the Sidcup area
• Hour(s): 1 hour per week
• Day(s) and Time(s): Thursdays 5-6pm or Fridays 5.30-6.30pm
• Subject and Level: GCSE English
• Pay: £35 p/h

• Start date: ASAP
• Contract Length: Approx 4 weeks

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver tuition programmes in small groups or 1:1
• Provide tuition that is appropriate for the individuals/groups needs and study level.
• Assessing any barriers to student’s learning and working to overcome these.
• Monitoring student progress and producing reports.
• Creating a positive and supportive learning environment.
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the curriculum content and qualification frameworks you're providing subject tuition in.
• Regularly reporting updates to the Tuition Programmes Manager.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• Bachelor's degree
• Experience working with students with SEMH Needs
• 1+ years of tutoring / teaching experience
• Ability to work with students of all abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Right to be self employed in the UK
