Join Our Team as a Mobile Vehicle Technician
Step into a new era of mobile repair with our Service, Maintenance & Repair (SMR) Division. We are looking for dedicated individuals to join us as Mobile Vehicle Technicians, where you can make a real difference in our members' lives.
What We Offer
Enjoy a competitive base salary starting at £45,378 (inclusive of London Weighting Allowance, if applicable), with potential on-target earnings of up to £57,000 . Additionally, you can opt for guaranteed overtime, increasing your base salary to £44,385 , along with further overtime and bonus opportunities.
Your Working Hours
- 40 hours per week
- Core hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
- 1 in 4 Saturdays
About the Role
Our SMR division is a fast-growing part of the organization, focused on delivering planned, structured repair and servicing directly to our members. Unlike traditional roadside rescue roles, you will:
- Work through a scheduled list of jobs with pre-booked appointments
- Perform routine servicing and diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
- Conduct in-depth repairs typically done in a workshop
- Provide member advice and recommendations based on inspections
- Carry out vehicle safety checks aligned with our standards
From day one, you will have everything you need: a fully equipped RAC van, fuel card, uniform, full tool set, and advanced diagnostics.

What You’ll Need
- Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles
- A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points
