Working closely with Merchandising, Buying, Distribution, Planning, and external suppliers, you'll help ensure the right products are in the right place at the right time, identifying risks and supporting actions to keep performance on track.

Role overview:

  • Managing stock and supplier performance, ensuring purchase orders, intake plans and deliveries are executed effectively to maximise product availability for customers.
  • Providing commercial and operational insight, identifying risks and opportunities, resolving stock issues, and working closely with Buying, Supply Chain and supplier partners to keep the category on track.
  • Developing strong supplier relationships to ensure consistent stock availability, proactively managing deliveries and resolving supply issues to minimise disruption.
  • Delivering commercial processes effectively, ensuring plans, critical paths and business policies are followed to support successful category performance and operational excellence.

You will need:

  • Previous experience as an Assistant Merchandiser.
  • Experience with merchandising and planning systems.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make recommendations that drive sales, profit and stock performance.
  • Confident communicator and relationship builder, able to influence stakeholders and collaborate effectively across teams and supplier partners.
  • Commercially aware, with a good understanding of customer needs and the ability to balance commercial performance with customer experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and the wider MS Office suite, with experience using data to support decision-making.
  • Knowledge of Power BI, with the ability to analyse and present insights to support category performance.

We know our people are the secret to our success. That’s why we’re always looking for ways to reward great work. You’ll find a host of benefits designed to work for you, including:

  • Performance related bonus.
  • Competitive pension scheme.
  • Product discounts on the latest tech.
  • A range of wellbeing initiatives.
  • Hybrid working; our primary Currys Campus is at Waterloo (WeWork) with an expectation to meet in person 2-4 times per month.

Every voice has a space at our table and we're committed to making inclusion and diversity part of everything we do, including how we strengthen our workforce.
