THE TEAM

You’ll be part of the Event Operations team at The Chancery Rosewood, working closely with the Event Operations Head Houseperson and Event Operations Floor Manager.

Together, the team is responsible for creating and maintaining exceptional event environments, ensuring every space is prepared with care, precision, and attention to detail.

YOUR ROLE

As a Flexible Events Porter , you’ll play an essential role in the physical setup, maintenance, and breakdown of our event spaces.

Combining energy with meticulous attention to detail, you’ll ensure function rooms, furniture, equipment, and décor are prepared and presented to the exceptional standards our guests expect. From pre-event preparations to last-minute room changes and post-event breakdowns, your work will help create seamless and memorable experiences.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE THE PLACE

• Set up event spaces accurately and to the highest standard, ensuring furniture, equipment, and décor are positioned as required before guests arrive.
• Work collaboratively with the Event Operations team, following direction from the Head Houseperson and Floor Manager to ensure setups are completed accurately and on time.
• Attend pre-event briefings to understand setup requirements and help ensure each function is fully prepared.
• Maintain a professional and discreet presence during events, responding efficiently to setup requests and room changes while minimising disruption to guests.
• Break down event spaces efficiently following each function, ensuring rooms, furniture, and equipment are well maintained and ready for their next use.
• Work safely at all times, handling event equipment and materials with care and following hotel health, safety, storage, and operational procedures.
