Job Description
Location: England, Greater London, Croydon
Job Type: Contract, Full-Time hours

Salary: £210 PAYE or £284 UMBRELLA

Job Duties:
- Inspect and maintain railway tracks, ensuring they are safe for train operations
- Repair and replace damaged track components
- Use specialised equipment for track maintenance and repairs
- Follow safety procedures and regulations while working on tracks
- Assist in track construction and improvement projects
Required Qualifications:
- Experience working in the rail industry
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Additional vocational training in track maintenance is desirable
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in railway track maintenance
- Hands-on experience with track inspection and repair
Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of track maintenance procedures and best practises
- Proficiency in using track maintenance equipment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skill
Knowledge of the below is desirable
- Experience of track patrolling
- Experience with vossloh track fixing systems
- Small tools and plant tickets
- S&C inspections
- General track maintenance activities
- Track renewals activities
- Lubricator maintenance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in railway safety regulations
- Previous experience working on electrified tracks
Working Conditions:
- Work in outdoor environments along railway tracks
- Possibility of working night shifts and weekends
- Physical demands, including lifting and bending
