Role overview:
The Project Manager will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of projects, ensuring successful delivery and client satisfaction. This dynamic role involves overseeing all elements of the contract life cycle, from procurement and people management to cost control and health and safety compliance. Key responsibilities include delivering decarbonisation retrofit projects from assessment through to completion, including renewable construction and the installation of energy efficiency systems in social housing properties across London.
Duties & responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operation of projects, with overall responsibility.
- Client satisfaction and involvement.
- Controlling all elements of the contract, including people management, project delivery, procurement, sub-contractors, supply chain, design, cost control, client liaison, health and safety.
- Management of sub-contractors to maximise contract performance against KPI’s, minimise default notices and penalties and ensure high levels of customer service.
- Negotiating with external clients ensuring expectations are fully met.
- Manage on-site relationships and develop new client relationships; understanding and implementing design brief, with ability to meet and deliver client requirements.
- Ensure project target dates and the critical path are maintained.
- Ensure the works are carried out within current legislation.
- Effectively monitor and control workflows and staff resources.
- Responsibility for accurate record keeping.
- Ensuring that subcontract works are carried out in accordance with quotations and or specifications.
- Regular liaison with the tenants, leaseholders, contractor partners, client and agents of the client to ensure clarity and consistency of communications, as well as the speedy resolution of issues thus ensuring a strong and professional working partnership.
- Developing programme of works to ensure deadlines are identified and kept thus ensuring penalty charges are not incurred and the critical path is maintained.
- Ensure all works are carried out in line with Sureserve procedures.
Skills and Abilities:
- Project Management experience with a history of driving programmes and achieving targets.
- Management and technical experience.
- Clear understanding of required targets and empathetic approach to our client base.
- Supply chain management and large project delivery.
- Experience of working with computerised systems.
Qualifications:
- Prince2 Project Management qualified
- Computer skills with experience of using microsoft excel and word being essential.
- SMSTS 5-day course
- Valid First Aider
- Asbestos Awareness Course
- Scaffold Inspection Certificate (sits) CISRS
- UK Driving Licence
