The Opportunity

Hyatt Hotels Corporation seeks an enthusiastic Sous Chef to join our Park Hyatt London River Thames team. As Sous Chef for Magic Table you will play a pivotal role in bringing our new immersive dining experience to life. Magic Table is an immersive 3D dining experience where each table is transformed into a captivating storyteller, guided by the guest’s personal choices. Making its London debut at the exclusive Tamisé , this one-of-a-kind event features world-renowned magicians Thommy Ten & Amélie van Tass. Working hours for this position are Wednesday to Sunday 3pm to 10pm.

• Kitchen Leadership Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff, ensuring smooth operations across all sections.

• Menu Execution & Quality Control Ensure dishes are prepared to the highest standards, maintaining consistency in taste, presentation, and timing.

• Inventory & Cost Management Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and help manage food costs and waste reduction.

• Training & Development Mentor junior chefs and apprentices, fostering skill development and maintaining morale.

• Health & Safety Compliance Enforce hygiene standards, food safety protocols, and kitchen cleanliness in line with HACCP or local regulations.

• Problem Solving & Decision-Making Step in during service disruptions, resolve conflicts, and make quick decisions under pressure.

• Collaboration with Head Chef Assist in menu planning, specials creation, and operational strategy.
