District Manager, UK Outlet Network

Burberry
London

Introduction

At Burberry, we believe creativity opens spaces. Our purpose is to unlock the power of imagination to push boundaries and open new possibilities for our people, our customers and our communities. This is the core belief that has guided Burberry since it was founded in 1856 and is central to how we operate as a company today.

We aim to provide an environment for creative minds from different backgrounds to thrive, bringing a wide range of skills and experiences to everything we do. As a purposeful, values-driven brand, we are committed to being a force for good in the world as well, creating the next generation of sustainable luxury for customers, driving industry change and championing our communities.

Job Purpose

The team at Burberry is looking for an exceptional District Manager to lead our UK Outlet Network, encompassing Bicester Village, Chatham Place and Cheshire Oaks.

This is a rare opportunity to shape the strategy, performance and future growth of a high-profile retail portfolio at one of the world's most iconic luxury brands. With ownership of commercial results, team development and customer engagement across multiple locations, you will play a pivotal role in elevating the outlet experience while driving sustainable growth. Working closely with senior leaders and cross-functional partners, you will have the visibility, influence and autonomy to make a lasting impact across the business.

Responsibilities

  • Define and deliver the market outlet strategy, driving revenue growth, profitability and performance across the UK outlet network.
  • Build high-performing, inclusive teams through coaching, development, talent planning and succession management, creating a culture of accountability, consistency and exceptional customer experience.
  • Own key commercial metrics including sales, productivity, shrinkage, ATV, UPT, AUR and overall P&L performance.
  • Drive clientelling, activations and local partnerships that increase footfall, conversion and long-term customer engagement.
  • Partner with merchandising, marketing, retail excellence and other functions to implement strategic initiatives and strengthen outlet performance.
  • Champion operational excellence across all stores, ensuring high standards in execution, inventory management and retail fundamentals.

Personal Profile

  • Proven success leading multiple stores, districts or business units within luxury, premium retail or a customer-focused environment.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, P&L and performance indicators to deliver measurable results.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, inspire and retain high-performing teams through coaching and leadership.
  • Experience managing people matters with confidence, integrity and sound judgement.
  • Skilled at building collaborative partnerships and influencing stakeholders across a complex organisation.
  • Adaptable, customer-focused and motivated by identifying opportunities to grow both people and business performance.

Burberry is an Equal Opportunities Employer and as such, treats all applications equally and recruits purely on the basis of skills and experience.
