Overview:
We are exclusively partnered with a rapidly growing and highly ambitious MGA in their search for a dynamic and entrepreneurial Senior PI Underwriter to lead and scale their Professional Indemnity (PI) portfolio. With A-rated capacity and a clearly defined business plan, this is a rare opportunity for a seasoned PI professional to step into a Head of / CUO-level position and play a pivotal role in driving growth across the UK market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take full ownership of the existing PI book and develop a strategy to grow and diversify the portfolio.
- Build and maintain strong broker relationships across both the Regional and London Market .
- Underwrite complex PI risks across a range of professions with an eye for profitability and sustainable growth.
- Work closely with executive leadership on shaping and executing the PI growth plan.
- Collaborate with underwriting, actuarial, claims, and compliance teams to ensure technical excellence and governance.
- Represent the business externally as the PI figurehead, enhancing market presence and reputation.

- Excess Layer: £15,000,000

Candidate Profile:
- Currently operating at Senior Underwriter / Portfolio Lead / Head of PI level.
- Demonstrable track record of building and growing PI books , ideally across a broad spectrum of professions.
- Strong broker relationships and market reputation.
- Ambitious, entrepreneurial mindset – ready to take the next major step in your career.
- Desire to shape and scale a market-leading PI offering within a fast-paced, high-growth MGA.
