Finance Manager

About the Role

As Finance Manager, you will have end‑to‑end accountability for the financial integrity, statutory compliance, and day‑to‑day financial governance of the site. You will ensure the accuracy of site accounting, oversee the preparation of statutory accounts and audits, and partner closely with the Group Centre of Excellence on all core accounting activities, including revenue recognition, cost allocation, balance sheet management, and tax compliance. You will act as a trusted finance partner to site leadership and the Europe FP&A team, providing high‑quality financial insight to support operational performance, cost control, capital expenditure delivery, and cash forecasting. Through strong collaboration, attention to detail, and a continuous improvement mindset, the role plays a critical part in enabling effective decision‑making, ensuring financial discipline, and supporting the long‑term performance of the site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Hold end-to-end accountability for the accuracy and integrity of site financial records, including monthly and quarterly close.

• Partner closely with the Group Centre of Excellence (COE) on all core accounting activities, ensuring clear ownership, governance, and effective hand-offs.

• Oversee balance sheet management, including reconciliations, accruals, and provisions, ensuring compliance with Group accounting policies and statutory requirements.

• Lead the preparation of local statutory accounts and act as the primary site contact for audits, working with the Group Financial Controller and external auditors.

• Work with operational and commercial stakeholders to resolve billing queries and drive accurate, timely revenue recognition.

• Manage monthly payroll processing in line with provider timelines and company pay dates.

• Monitor aged creditor and debtor balances, providing insight into risks, trends, and required actions.

• Support site leadership and the Europe FP&A team on capital expenditure planning, liquidity management, and cash forecasting.
  

About you

You’re a qualified finance professional with a strong foundation in financial control, statutory reporting, and business partnering within a complex operational environment. You thrive on ensuring financial accuracy, maintaining robust controls, and providing the insight that helps leaders make informed decisions. Combining technical accounting expertise with commercial awareness, you understand how financial performance, cash flow, revenue, and capital investment contribute to long-term business success.

You are comfortable operating across both strategic and operational finance activities, from overseeing month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, statutory accounts, and audits through to supporting site leadership with budgeting, forecasting, capital expenditure, and cash management. You enjoy working collaboratively across Finance, Operations, Commercial, and Shared Service teams, building trusted relationships and translating financial data into meaningful business insight.

Highly organised and detail-oriented, you take pride in maintaining high standards of governance, compliance, and financial discipline. You are proactive in identifying opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, and enhance reporting through better use of systems and data.

Key Requirements:

• Strong technical accounting knowledge, with experience overseeing monthly close, balance sheet control, statutory accounts, and audits.

• High attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy under pressure and meet critical reporting deadlines.

• Commercially minded, with the ability to understand operational drivers and translate financial data into meaningful insight.

• Strong understanding of cost control, margin analysis, revenue assurance, and capital expenditure delivery.

• Builds trusted relationships across a matrixed, global organisation, including close collaboration with Centres of Excellence.

• Experience supporting capex planning, project spend tracking, liquidity management, and cash forecasting.

• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify trends, risks, and opportunities across financial and operational data.

• Proactive in identifying and implementing system or process enhancements in partnership with central teams.
