Senior Product Manager

Yonder
London

What’s Yonder?

“It's as if Time Out, Amex and Monzo had a baby” - Will T, Yonder Member

We’re building the financial membership of the future. One that works for how you live now. Not how your parents banked in the ‘90s.

Yonder combines credit and debit in one membership, designed to be fair, flexible, and actually enjoyable to use. No confusing terms. No dusty points system. Just rewards that actually feel rewarding - from bao to beer to a boarding pass.

We raised £23.4M in September 2024 to grow the team, launch even better rewards, and expand beyond the UK. If that sounds good to you, you’ll probably like it here 🎉

Sounds cool. So what’s my part in this?

There are broadly 4 squads in Yonder

  • Growth/Activation: Focuses on getting activated new members
  • Risk & Defence: Ensures we’re protecting our customers and business against bad actors
  • Member Value: Ensures that we drive members to make Yonder their main account
  • Rewards: Ensures our members are getting breadth and depth of reward value through partners

We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to come and join Yonder and help drive growth and member value. You’ll help build and expand our beautifully designed product that our members absolutely love .

You’ll get to work with the team helping build the financial membership of the future. You’ll be deeply involved in crafting the direction of the product roadmap and invest heavily in creating delightful customer experiences. You’ll need to balance testing, speed and scale.

Product at Yonder isn’t project management or a product owner role, it’s about leading through influence to deliver high impact results for our members and for Yonder. We hold ourselves accountable to the outcomes we deliver (and not the features we ship), but we’re comfortable with product bets that succeed and fail. Product is the critical glue between our members, support, design, engineering, marketing, analytics, risk, commercial, legal, compliance and finance - it’s a delicate balancing act.

We’re not afraid to get stuck in wether that’s editing webflow pages, writing SQL, configuring Segment, knocking on partners doors or running user tests and editing Figma. We’re the Swiss army knife of the team, never afraid to roll up our sleeves.

A bit about you:
  • You place customers first. You will have talked to many customers maybe even have created a community for feedback, collecting customer feedback (both qualitative and quantitative) & research are at the forefront of your thinking
  • You’re a scrappy operator. You’re not afraid to dive into Webflow to spin up a landing page, write a few lines of SQL to validate a hunch, or configure a Segment event. You get joy from moving fast and figuring things out
  • You’re a full-stack product thinker. You’ve taken ideas from zero to one, iterated with engineers and designers, and shaped them into polished products that users love. You’re comfortable thinking across UX, growth, commercial, data and tech
  • You think in bets. You know how to frame hypotheses, test them quickly, and double down when something’s working. You’re not afraid of failure - but you are allergic to wasted effort
  • You collaborate deeply. You work brilliantly with engineers, designers, marketers, analysts, legal, operations and finance. You bring the right people in early and often to create momentum and shared ownership
  • You care about impact, not output. You use data to prove product value (not just ship features), and you’re comfortable setting and owning metrics, OKRs, and product health
  • Attention to detail. You’re able to zoom in and obsess about small details that benefit customers. Mention #Guava in your application so we know you sweat the details
  • You work like it’s 2025. AI tools are a natural extension of how you work - brainstorming with ChatGPT, spinning up concepts in Figma AI, generating SQL, summarising research. You know how to move faster by augmenting yourself

Bonus

  • You’ve worked in early-stage or fast-growing teams
  • You’ve launched a product or significant feature end-to-end
  • You’ve worked in fintech, or on regulated products
  • You’ve done some kind of growth or retention work

What’s it like working at Yonder?

🏢 We’re office-first with a min of 3 days a week, remote-friendly. We’re based in our Hoxton office, complete with a terrace, breakfast, coffee, dogs and plenty of comfortable space to do your best work.

✈️ This role will probably require a lot of (budget) travel - so you’ll need to be comfortable with that

🤍 We take a values led approach. Our principles are incredibly important to us, so we recommend you check them out here: Our DNA

💪 We work hard (but have fun whilst we do it. Everyone at Yonder gets stuck in and contributes to the wider success of the business. It is incredibly rewarding but don’t expect a normal 9-5.

📚 We take development really seriously. We have a pretty structured process for progression, with fortnightly one-on-ones and quarterly peer perspectives. We want our people to grow faster than our business.

What’s in it for me?

Depending on your skill set and what you can bring from day one, you’ll be looking at:

💰 £90,000 - £112,000 annual salary (depending on experience)

📈 £76,000 - £104,000 in options (depending on salary)

Plus

✈️ 35 holidays (27 days annual leave + 8 days public leave)

⛷ 2x team-building offsites per year (1 in the UK, 1 abroad)

❤️‍🩹 Private healthcare with Vitality, including mental health, dental & vision cover

🐣 16 weeks enhanced parental leave for all parents after being with Yonder for 1 year

🐙 Financial coaching with Octopus Money

🧠 Learning & training allowance (£750/year) that you can use on books, courses, etc

🍳 Regular team breakfasts and lunch

⛳️ Regular team events like Mini-golf, Escape Room, Cocktail making

🚴 Cycle-to-work scheme

☕️ Fresh pour-over coffee made by our very own CEO, Tim

What’s the application process like?

We take the candidate experience really seriously, so we’ve made the process as transparent as possible. We also promise to be super responsive, and will never leave you wondering where you stand for weeks on end.

Here’s how it works:

  • Stage 1: Hiring manager call (30-45 mins): We'll have an initial Zoom call to find out more about you and to tell you more about us
  • Stage 2: Experience interview (60 mins): We'll deep dive into your technical experience, talk about projects you've worked on
  • Stage 3 : Problem solving interview (60 mins): We’ll pair on a problem together with a whiteboard to see how you think about solving them with other team members
  • Stage 4: Values interview (60 mins): We want to learn more about how you work - we’ll ask you questions related to our principles ( Our DNA ). This stage will be with two people from our wider team
  • Stage 5: We’ll also do a reference check - ideally with a previous manager on the phone
  • Stage 6: Offer 🤩 If everyone’s happy, we’ll make you an offer to join us 🎉 All offers are subject to right to work & criminal background checks
Other things to know:
  • We love closing the feedback loop at Yonder. You can expect specific feedback on our decision from Stage 2 onwards, and you can always ask for more.
  • We must complete right to work & criminal, politically exposed persons, and default to credit notice background checks for every new Yonder-er for compliance purposes because we handle sensitive customer data.
  • We also do reference checks, ideally with your most recent manager on the phone.
  • We like to move quickly at Yonder, so we will be ready to onboard you once the above checks are complete - the entire process can take between 2 - 6 weeks.

🌈 We know that diverse teams build better products. If you’re from an under-represented community, we’d especially love to hear from you.

👉 Even if you don’t feel 100% qualified, please do apply anyway. Your attitude and desire to grow are just as important as your experience.
