Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging and dynamic history lessons to students of various abilities
  • Develop and implement an effective and differentiated curriculum that meets the needs of all students
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to drive improvement
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Foster a love for history in students by creating interactive and immersive learning experiences
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the overall improvement of the department
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other stakeholders to provide regular updates on student progress

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in History or a related field
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching history at the primary or secondary level
  • A strong passion for history and a desire to inspire and motivate students
  • Excellent knowledge of the UK National Curriculum
  • Ability to differentiate teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
